ACDA Conference – Boston February 10-13
Chorus Angelicus and Gaudeamus have been selected as an auditioned choir at the prestigious ACDA Eastern Conference in Boston which showcases the best choirs in the PA, DE, MD, NJ, NY, and all of the New England states! Our choirs will perform to an audience of music directors and choir members from the above states and clinicians from all over the country.
34 of our singers will light up the stages for two performances on Friday, February 12th. The will grace the conference audiences with Paul Halley’s Freedom Trilogy, a premiere of Nicholas White’s Gloria and a newly commissioned work for us by Francisco Nunez, founder and director of the New York City Children’s Chorus!
Kathy Weiser is managing the Boston trip. She has found remarkable opportunities in lodging, transportation, and meals! To help fund this event, Joyful Noise received an award of $5,000 from the Libby Holman Foundation to help defray expenses. To insure that every singer may participate, the choirs held a holiday pasta fundraiser. As always, this event will promote our presence to many listeners and provide a memorable and intensely valuable educational and musical experience for all who will be participating!
Please contact the office if you would like to help defray our costs further with a personal donation!
